Young and District Community Hub

Located at 2C Campell Street Young, the Hub offers information and referral, assists people to connect with local, state and national services and offers a range of community activities, workshops, self-interest courses and programs. The Hub is an informal space where people can look over brochures, take information that suits them or come for a chat and get the information they need after talking to a hub worker. The Hub also offers support and advocacy services, parenting programs, practical advice and somewhere to go when things go wrong.

The Hub helped me through a really difficult time in my life. All of the staff was kind and I felt like finally someone was listening. I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t walked in that day....anything could have happened if they didn’t hook me up with the other services.
I saw the Family Support Worker but I was nervous as I didn’t know what it was all about. Rose made me feel comfortable straight away and I know I wasn’t being judged and I told my story. My family is in a better place now as Rose helped us to get some things in place and the kids are doing a bit better with going to school too. We have a long way to go as heaps of crappy things have happened to us but talking to Rose makes me think we will get through stuff and things might get better.
I love the Hub! I have joined the Art Group and my daughter brings her little one to the Music Session on Wednesday mornings. I think it is great to have more things to do for people out in the community.
